Honcho The Return to the Battle of Wits!
06.11.2015
„Things have been quiet around Norwegian rockers Honcho for a while now. After diligently touring large parts of the European continent, making three albums and one EP, and contributing on a shitload of compilations, the Oslo band has chosen to lay low for a long time. Too long, some would say. But now things are moving in the Honcho camp again: They contribute on Sannhet på boks, the box set tribute to Norwegian rock legend Michael Krohn, with a cover version of the Raga Rockers song "Trass". It´s dark as the night and slower than molasses, and it´s perfect. Not only that, but Manuel Ferrari, an internationally renowned animator from France, have spent three years of his life making a hypnotic and emotional video for the Honcho song "Clovers", a project of love that is finally ready and will be released in a short while.
As if that wasn´t enough, we will finally see the band live again! It´s been five long years since Honcho played a gig for a jam-packed and sweaty audience at the Oslo club Garage, and now the band is itching to fire up the engine again. This Desember 12th they will play at The Crossroad Club in Oslo. They will of course bring with them a selection of tunes from the albums Corporate Rock, Battle of Wits, and Burning in Water, Drowning in Fire. If only an inch of your soul is dedicated to heavy blues and loud rock, you will be in the audience that night. Honcho is ready to convince you that they were worth waiting for.“
